I'm a JOURNALIST AnD editor in Berlin.

I love crafting stories about culture, the arts, human rights and big ideas.

In summer 2017 I founded NANSEN Magazine, a print publication that celebrates and connects migrants of all kinds by getting to know one migrant per issue.

I'm also the Communications Manager at Give Something Back to Berlin, where I edit an online magazine by and about Berlin's newcomers. In 2016 we won an Intercultural Innovation Award from the UNAOC and BMW Group.

Additionally, I write freelance for a range of publications in Germany, Denmark and New Zealand. I'm in my element writing about voluntourism as much as photography, gender equality and homesickness, Scandinavian fads and innovative television formats.

I grew up in New Zealand, where my iwi (tribal affiliations) are Te Ātiawa, Taranaki and Ngāruahine. An avid collector of magazines and postcards, I also like languages, art history and dream pop.

If you would like to work together or have an idea to share, feel free to drop me a line.
